COLOR STUDY

Task 1 : Color Properties
Primary color that is Red, Blue and Yellow. For secondary color is to mix two primary color to get Orange, Green and Violet. Then mix the primary and secondary color to get tertiary color which is Red-Orange, Yellow-Orange, Yellow-Green, Blue-Green, Blue-Violet and Red-Violet.

Task 2 : HARMONIOUS COLOR
Harmonious color is a basic technique that were usually used in advertisment, logo or picture. It is combination of 6 different concept such as, analogous, complementary, split-complementary, triad, tetriad and natural (black and white).

The color that never mixed together.
 


TRIAD COLOR

TETRAD COLOR

Three color from color wheel using the Rectangular shape or Square shape. Also the balance of warm and cold colors.





Task 3 : ACHROMATIC AND MONOCHROMATIC
Achromatic is the natural color of Black and White. While Monochromatic is the color that will mix up with black, grey and white to form tone, tint and shaded colors.





TINTS, TONES, SHADED COLOR


Tint is color adding with white, Tone is color adding with Grey and Shaded is color adding with Black.

Task 4 : COLOR TEMPERATURE

There are two type of color temperature that is: Warm Color and Cold Color. Warm Color represent red-violet, red, red-orange, orange, orange-yellow, yellow. While the Cold Color represent yellow-green, green, green-blue, blue, blue-violet, violet.









COLOR PSYCHOLOGY

Color psychology is based on the mental and emotional effects of colors that have affected people in their real life. There are different kind of interpretation, meaning and perception between different cultures. Also, every colors have different meaning and they basically did have different view in every way.

Red - Passion , Love , Strength 
Blue - Intelligent, Calming, Trust
Green - Harmony, Nature Lover, Relaxing
Yellow- Optimism, Confident, Have Strong Emotional
Violet - Mystery, Spiritual, Luxury 
Brown - Serious, Warmth, Supportive
Black - Glamour, Evil, Death
White - Purity, Clean, Neutrality




FINAL PROJECT
 
 

For this final project, I create a picture that reflected myself using what I have learn through out all the task. For this task I use the combination of Color Temperature, Monochromatic and also Achromatic concept. This artwork are consist of 5 different colors which is Red, Blue, Violet, Green, and Brown (not including Black and White). The color theory that shown in the artwork is Brown showing the warmth, Red showing the passion, Blue showing the calming, Green showing the harmony and Violet showing the mystery.
