TASK 1 - Semantic Icon

Introduction

This exercise were given to create our own icon on the given themes. We need to used the themes that are, "Home", "Water Pump", "Engine" , "Car" and "Cat"

Semantical Icon

The design I used for the icons are a simple shape that represent the theme given so that users can understand it.

Semantical Icon Process

First I used the Pen Tools to create the outline of the shape. After that I used Ellipse Tools and Pen Tools to create the triangle shape. Then I click on both of the circle and triangle shape and used the Pathfinder to combine the two shape. Lastly I coloured the icon to get the better look of the icons.

TASK 2 - Interface Design Website

For the final assignment, we need to create our own Interface Design Website for given themes. The given themes are, "Cafe", "Game" and "MTV"

CAFE

Introduction

 This cafe  environment provide relax, cozy and elegant ambiance. The cafe produce a high quality coffee by using the high grade coffee bean to serve their customers.The cafe would like to provide good service in order to build godd branding. In this interface design, I give an exclusive feeling and suitable design for the cafe.

Concepts and Ideas

 The concept for this layout, I used the exclusive cafe interior as  the background design in the interface design. As the icons, I used the different types of coffee such as latte, capucino, strawberry cake and so on as their types food being serve and other button. The reason using the their menu is to attract and give a variation flavours being served in the cafe.

Colour being used

 As the for colour, I used the dark colour shades which means adding the black to a pure hue colour. The idea I get was adapted from the coffee bean which is brown and black. The colour that I used often in the interface design are brown, black, and a bit white.


Design and Style

For design and style, I used buttons in the interface layout is to give a direct message. Just one click straight the specific page for the information, is give easier navigation.

Conclusion

 The conclusion for this cafe website in digital interface, we need to create a simple and direct website so that users can be easily access into the information.

GAME

Introduction

This game has virtual reality features it give the high-tech feeling in the game. The game type is more toward the war, inside the game the weapons are using different types of sword. Inside the game, also give different types of figure to choose as a fighter in the battle game. The interface design game, I used the futuristc and fantasy background to give the war zone feel.

Concepts and Ideas

As for the concept and idea in the layout, I used the dark wood in the forest is to give the players, the suspend feeling in the wood.It also attract the player to go more in depth into next level of game.

Colour being used

For the colour I used more of dark colour that representing the dark smoky woods for the battle place. I also used Shades and Tones by adding Black and Gray to a pure hue colour of Blue. The colours mostly I used in the interface are black, white and blue. 

Design and Style

Design and style for a game design are applying design to create a game that having an interaction between the players and the character in the games. For this design, I put some characters on the interface to make players know the character that we are having in the games. Also, I put some button guide for players to get more info of the character, about the game and how to download the games. I also put some of the other games including in the website that can attract the players. 


Conclusion

The design of networked games demands a high technical design to attract players to play the games. Exciting game can only experiences through a large number of players connected through the online game systems. We have over viewed some issues that we need to have a fully solution. So, we need to create a website that have an interesting info for players.

MTV Video

Introduction

This MTV website is a website featured the famous singer, Taylor Swift. The website are mostly about Taylor Swift and the headquartered of the channel itself is in New York City. The main purpose of this website was to guide users to the music videos of Taylor Swifts and also some info about her.

Concepts and Ideas

Concept and idea of the website are just a simple with the button for users to get more info in other pages. Also, this website provide the music video list and it can be choose using the navigation button to the left and right on the bottom and it will be play on the big video screen on the top.

Colour being used

 The colour for this website I used Tints that is adding white to a pure hue colours. There are more bright colours of white, pink and purple that make the website more balance. I also used a little black and gray colours to get the balance with the tints colours.

Design and Style

For this website, I used a picture of Taylor Swift to attract users to see what is in the website. The style of this website is a bit cheerful and sweet. It also easier for users to understand and get information provided in this website.

Conclusion

This website used an interesting digital interface design. It also a website that attract and make users enjoy to go and look at it. MTV website must not have many pictures and videos playing in one pages and we must reorganized it in each pages so that users can easily understand.
